Welcome to Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru. This cosmopolitan city is home to an incredible food scene, some of the world’s finest restaurants, compelling museums and contemporary galleries. Check in for a two-night stay at your stylish, contemporary hotel set beside the beach.

Lima
Embark on a captivating exploration of Lima, a city that seamlessly blends history and modernity. Sacred Valley > Machu Picchu
This morning, embark on one of the worlds most spectacular train rides, a Vistadome rail journey that climbs through breathtaking landscapes to the legendary Machu Picchu. The most famous archaeological site in South America, this mountaintop citadel was built by the Incas in the 15th century but remained lost to history until it was rediscovered in the early 1900s. Explore the enigmatic ruins with expert guides, delving into the mysteries of this ancient site. As night falls, retreat to your charming hotel in Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu > Cuzco
Continue your journey by train to the charming city of Cuzco, the imperial capital of the Incas. The oldest continually occupied city on the continent, it sits at a soaring 3,399 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest settlements in the world. Youll be welcomed to the luxurious hotel. Set inside a 500-year-old mansion, you’ll spend two nights ensconced in the heart of this storied city, surrounded by opulence and history.

Cuzco
Unravel the secrets of Cuzco as you wander through its cobblestone streets and past awe-inspiring architecture. Buenos Aires
Discover the vibrant allure of Buenos Aires, the city they call the ‘Paris of the Americas’. Immerse yourself in the citys captivating highlights and experience its unique charm. Latin passion and European romance define this beautiful capital, a dynamic city known for its wide-ranging architectural styles, contemporary and historical arts, and culinary experiences. Enjoy a four-hour tour of the city this morning that takes you to the main historic sites of Buenos Aires, including the Casa Rosada (Pink Palace) and the Recoleta Cemetery. Your visit is only complete when you experience a mesmerising tango show. This evening, witness the passion of Argentine tango at the Gala Tango show, accompanied by a sumptuous dinner and Argentinian wine.

Buenos Aires

At sea
Wake up in your own time as you get comfortable with the rhythm of the ocean. Though the Drake Passage can be one of the roughest stretches of water in the world, you’ll barely feel a thing. Scenic Eclipse’s state-of-the-art technology, featuring a strengthened hull, forward bow thrusters, electronic Azipod propulsion system and oversized zero-speed stabilisers make for smooth sailing.  Join an introductory presentation about your polar expedition by the Polar Discovery Team in the state-of-the-art theatre. Feel the excitement building as they explain how your Zodiac and other Discovery Excursions will work in the coming days. The theatre is where you can watch talks, lectures, movies and documentaries during the day. At night, enjoy world-class productions from musical theatre and cabaret to pop music, dance and fun interactive game shows.

At sea
Make yourself at home on board Scenic Eclipse. Settle in at the spacious Scenic Lounge Bar with your beverage of choice, whether it be an aged whiskey or a glass of wine or enjoy a cocktail in your cabana near the Sky Bar on Deck 10. Curl up with a coffee in the quiet of the Observation Lounge and Library and look out to sea through the Swarovski telescopes. Join one of the Polar Discovery Team’s daily lectures and discussions, covering everything from Antarcticas history and polar exploration to glaciology, wildlife, climate change and more.  

At sea
As you cruise south, wildlife spotting opportunities abound. Your expert Polar Discovery Team will be with you out on the deck looking for albatrosses, prions, and petrels that follow the ship. Use the complimentary binoculars you’ll find in your suite or head to the Swarovski telescopes on the Observation Terrace.  Check the daily program for the Polar Discovery Team lectures held in the state-of-the-art on board theatre. Sit in one of the comfortable reclining lounge chairs, order a drink from the waitstaff and prepare to be enthralled. 

Falkland Islands
Considered one of the wonders of the far Southern Hemisphere, the Falkland Islands overflow with natural beauty. The windswept green hills and clear waters lapping the white sand beaches could be mistaken for a much more tropical location. These remote and sparsely populated islands are a wildlife lover’s paradise. The world’s largest population of gentoo penguins is found here, in addition to king, Magellanic and rockhopper penguins. Up to 250,000 black-browed albatross nest in the Falklands, along with vast numbers of shearwaters and petrels. Fur and elephant seals roam sandy beaches, while the surrounding waters are home to whales and dolphins. Falkland Islands
Today we will call at Stanley^^, the capital of the archipelago on East Falkland. Since the 18th century, ownership of the Falkland Islands has been clouded in controversy with conflict between France, Britain, Spain and Argentina. Following the Falklands War of 1982, the islands have been part of the British Commonwealth. Today, the town has a distinctly British feel. Meander through its neat streets, visit the local shops and even stop at a typical English pub to share a pint with the friendly locals. The Christ Church Cathedral, with its striking whalebone arch, is a must-see.

At sea
Today, sample some of the extraordinary dining experiences on offer on your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht. Start with breakfast at the Yacht Club (be sure to return later to visit the large homemade gelato fridge). For lunch, Azure Bar & Café serves light meals, pizza and salads that are available for grazing throughout the day. In the evening, dine around the world with Asian fare at Sushi^ @ Koko’s and Night Market^ @ Koko’s or fine French dining at Lumière^. At sea
Sailing towards South Georgia gives you time to slow to the rhythm of the sea. Enjoy your time to relax and be entranced by the many seabirds you’ll encounter on your way. You may decide to join the avid whale watchers on the Observation Terrace, hoping to get a glimpse of one of these giant mammals. Alternatively, retreat to the tranquillity of the Senses Spa# to recharge your body and mind before a busy few days on shore. The Polar Discovery Team will be on hand to share their wildlife spotting tips. Join an insightful lecture to learn more about your next port of call, the remarkable South Georgia.

South Georgia
Embark on an extraordinary journey today as you set foot on the remote and awe-inspiring island of South Georgia. Be prepared for the unpredictable weather conditions that characterise this region, shaping your itinerary along the way. Rest assured, your Captain and Discovery Team leader are committed to providing you with the safest and most rewarding experiences. Prepare to be amazed by the abundant wildlife that calls this island home. From the majestic presence of thousands of king penguins reclaiming their territory to the sight of elephant seals and male fur seals staking their claim on the beaches, every moment promises unforgettable memories. South Georgia
Beyond its remarkable wildlife, South Georgia Island is steeped in a fascinating human legacy. You may get the chance to pay your respects to Sir Ernest Shackleton, the renowned explorer, at his final resting place in the settlement of Grytviken^^. Here, you can also see the remnants of old whaling stations, with some ships left rusting around the bay. Back on board, explore some of Scenic Eclipse’s indulgent spaces, from the welcoming Observation Lounge to the expansive Senses Spa#. Soothe your muscles in the sauna or heated therapy lounge, join a yoga or Pilates class. Choose one of up to 10 world-class on board dining experiences tonight. South Georgia
Fortuna Bay^^ is another potential landing site, subject to weather and ice conditions. It promises both abundant wildlife viewing and a wonderful panorama from the beach of jagged summit peaks and the vast Konig Glacier. It’s home to a large population of king penguins, Antarctic fur seals, elephant seals, brown skuas, giant petrels and Antarctic terns. This site’s varying tundra, curious penguins and seal pups will likely provide some of the best photographs of your voyage. The Polar Discovery Team will share their knowledge of these remarkable creatures and explain how important the landscape is for the breeding and survival of different species on the island. South Georgia
Enjoy one more day exploring the awe-inspiring beauty of South Georgia, where natures grandeur unfolds in dramatic landscapes unlike anywhere else. Picture yourself amidst a mountainous island rising majestically from the sea, adorned with pristine snow and glistening glaciers. Get your camera and binoculars ready, as you may have the chance to witness incredible scenes unfolding before your eyes. Discovery: When enjoying daily Scenic Discovery excursions, ask for your expert Polar Discovery Leader for photography tips and guidance on how to spot the wildlife around you. They will help you immortalise these incredible moments while cruising on the Zodiacs, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding around impressive ice formations.

At sea
After four days of exploration, take a moment to yourself this morning in your luxuriously appointed suite. Enjoy a well-deserved sleep in, revelling in the comfort of your signature Scenic Slumber Bed. Ask your butler to bring you a late breakfast and a reviving barista-made coffee. Then delve into an insightful conversation with one of our Polar Discovery Team members after an educational lecture in the state-of-the-art theatre. Recap the incredible things you’ve seen on South Georgia Island, from the dramatic landscapes to abundant wildlife, as they share their passion for science and exploration.

At sea
Today we will enter Antarctic waters and the excitement starts to build as you search for icebergs. Put on your complimentary polar parka and head out on the Observation Deck to watch for seabirds, such as the wandering albatross, which have the largest wingspan of any flying bird, as well as shearwaters, giant petrels and more. Alternatively, look for the blow of a whale in the distance. The Polar Discovery Team will help you prepare for your first landing on the White Continent, offering insight and inspiration as well as giving you practical information about your upcoming polar expedition.

Antarctica
Arriving in Antarctica for the first time is unlike anything you have experienced before. Welcome to a challenging, unpredictable and stunningly beautiful environment that always finds a way to surprise you. Step out onto your private verandah and see icebergs towering out of the ocean thousands of metres tall. Enjoy the daily search for penguins, seals and whales. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, your itinerary is open and dependent on the ice and weather conditions. Your experienced Captain and specialist Polar Discovery Team will use their expertise to design your voyage from day to day, making the most of 18–20 hours of daylight. Antarctica
Remarkable wildlife encounters await during your time exploring Antarctica. Various species of penguins can be found here, with around twelve million penguins living on the Peninsula. Going ashore to visit a penguin colony is an unforgettable experience. Watch the sea for humpback, blue, fin and minke whales, as well as the distinctive black and white orcas. At the heart of your Antarctic Voyage is the Polar Discovery Team of up to 20 leading experts with diverse qualifications, from science to geology, botany, history, photography, marine biology and glaciology. They will answer your most curious questions and be with you throughout every moment of your journey. Antarctica
Today you may land at Portal Point^^. Previously a British refuge hut, you will get the opportunity to walk up to see panoramic views from the snow-covered mountains surrounding you, looking over the ice filled ocean back to the ship that made all this possible. Sit down in the snow and take a moment to be still in the enormity of this place. There are endless ways to experience Antarctica. You may be on Scenic Eclipse, watching from the comfort of the Observation Lounge, in a Zodiac with an experienced Polar Discovery Team member, or immersed in the environment in a kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Antarctica
Be sure to pack your swimmers, because today you could be going for a swim. For many, the polar plunge is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a rite of passage for an expedition to Antarctica. Once throughout your voyage, Scenic Eclipse will stop and the team will set up the marina ready for the brave people who want to jump into the freezing Antarctic waters. Invigorating, exciting, and surprisingly refreshing. If you choose to skip the polar plunge, make sure you find a good viewing location as you feel the chills of everyone coming out of the water. Join them for a cup of hot chocolate or toast with a glass of whisky. Discovery: Explore by Zodiac, kayak or stand-up paddleboard with possible shore landings (weather and ice permitting).

Antarctica
Lemaire Channel^^, renowned for its picturesque views and often referred to as Kodak Alley, could be our next exciting destination. Or you may visit Deception Island^^ as part of your itinerary. Nestled in the South Shetland Islands archipelago, it is one of the only places in the world that ships can sail directly into the centre of a submerged caldera of an active volcano. In the distance on a clear day you can see Mount Francis ^^ standing tall as Anvers Islands highest peak, showcasing the rugged beauty of Antarctica. Every day is unique, you might get the chance to hike or spend time on the pebbled beach, enjoying the view surrounded by curious penguins. Discovery: Explore by Zodiac, kayak or stand-up paddleboard with possible shore landings (weather and ice permitting).

At sea
After days of enriching discoveries, this morning it’s time to reflect on your journey. As this is one of your last days on board, enjoy a final session in the infrared sauna, a dip in the Vitality Pool, lunch at the Yacht Club and a cocktail in the Sky Bar. Swap stories and favourite memories with your new friends, marvelling at all you have experienced together.  Return to your favourite restaurant with your new friends or indulge in a private dinner in your verandah. Enjoy a nightcap in one of the bars and lounges and arrange for the butler to bring you coffee in your suite the next morning. 

At sea > Ushuaia
Crossing the Drake Passage back to the tip of South America, take some time to reflect on the magic of the Southern Ocean and the life that calls it home. Watch the wild seas from the comfort of your suite or the large windows of the Observation Lounge, complete with a warming coffee or whiskey.  If you haven’t had time to visit the bridge yet, be sure to do so today. Learn more about the technical abilities of The World’s First Discovery Yacht and see it in full operation. The bridge is also one of the best viewing areas on the ship. 

Ushuaia, Argentina > Buenos Aires
Your voyage ends this morning as you farewell the crew and fellow guests. Disembark after breakfast to fly to Buenos Aires, taking away memories of a truly unforgettable experience.    Please book your flight to depart out of Buenos Aires after 08:00 PM.
