About the Port
Rovinj sits on the western shore of Croatia's Istrian Peninsula, its old town wrapped on three sides by the Adriatic and topped by the hilltop Church of St. Euphemia, whose Baroque steeple anchors the skyline. Centuries of Venetian and Italian influence linger in the architecture, visible in the clock tower, the Baroque Balbi's Arch, and the former 17th-century Town Hall near the harbor. A Franciscan monastery complex lies to the east, while a Romanesque monument to the south marks the town's oldest surviving structure.
