About the Port
Grand Turk, capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands, sits atop a coral shelf ringed by clear, shallow waters that drop into a dramatic reef wall just offshore, making it a favorite for snorkeling and diving. The island's low-key pace and modest scale mean its white-sand beaches and small salt-raker settlements remain easy to explore without crowds or high-rise development.
Cockburn Town, the compact capital, spreads out within walking distance of the pier and holds much of the island's history in a few unhurried blocks.
