Day 1 – Welcome to Hoi An
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to your choice of hotel: On the banks of the Thu Bon River, the Anantara Hoi An Resort is a Colonial-inspired boutique hotel. Or check in to the deluxe Royal Hoi An Mgallery Collection, with its enviable location right next to the majestic Old Quarter of Hoi An and bordered by the tranquil Thu Bon River.
Day 2 – Private sightseeing in Hoi An #WHS#
From the 16th to the 18th centuries, Hoi An was one of the wealthiest ports in South Asia, home to seafaring Dutch, French, Portuguese, Arab, Japanese and Chinese merchants. Today, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its splendidly preserved architecture and culinary traditions. As you join your personal guide this morning for a private sightseeing tour and stroll along the city’s pedestrian streets, it’s easy to imagine that you’ve stepped into a bygone era of Vietnam’s history.
Your half-day tour includes famous landmarks like Chua Ong Pagoda, built in 1653, and Jinshang Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and the protector of seafaring merchants. You’ll also visit the 200-year-old Tam Ky House and the oft-photographed covered bridge, built by Japanese craftsmen in the 17th century. After sightseeing, the balance of your afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace. Meals B
